Today I am going to tell you my favourite dessert recipe of the season!
Frogs – also known as Chocolate haystacks!
They are truly the most amazing thing, ever since I was little every year my Nana has made them for me at Christmas time.
So not only are they delicious they hold a special memory close to my heart!
To make these ^ gorgeous babies you will need:
3 cups rolled oats
1/2 cup cocoa
1 dash of salt
2 cups of sugar
1/2 tsp of vanilla
1 cup flaked coconuts
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup milk
Once you have all of your ingredients your next step is
In a medium sauce pan combine sugar, milk, butter, cocoa and salt
Heat that to a boil stirring frequently
After it starts boiling cook for 5 minutes stirring constantly
Remove pan from heat and mix in the vanilla, oats and coconut
Drop spoonfuls onto wax paper working quickly.
Once cooled (approx 2 hours)
1/2 cup of mini marshmallows or 1/2 cup of walnuts
